Modified Hammer Beam Trusses have a great look with their open design and arched webs and braces. A center king post is used. The truss’s interior collar tie is placed about half way down the truss yielding a cathedral look. Also, arched braces run from the collar tie down to hammer posts, and knee braces run from the hammer tie down to an outside post. Modified trusses like this one shown here are very popular here in the Ozarks, especially the lake areas. 
The very cost effect King Post Roof Trusses are next, and they look great when curved braces and webs are used. Our king post truss may be used both as a structural truss system or as an aesthetic truss system . In Missouri a king post roof truss may be able span 36 feet with 16 foot spacing; however, in the north where they get a lot of snow this would not be acceptable. We custom build all our truss systems and we provide detailed shop drawings with a structural engineer's stamp.
